Hong Kong - Pearl of the East

I was very excited when I heard that I got the chance to travel to Hong Kong. However, in my perception, Hong Kong is a very special place. How special?
Firstly, it is a special administrative region of China, same as Macau.
Secondly, it is a mix culture of west and east.
Thirdly, with the big area of Hong Kong, the developed part of Hong Kong is only less than 40% of the area.( FYI, Singapore is much more smaller than Hong Kong and still, the island itself has almost fully developed due to geographical reason.)

According to local residence, Hong Kong is a tax-free port. So, whatever we buy here, the GST(Goods and Services Tax) is not included and hence the things here are cheaper than that in Singapore! Well, it's true enough when I bought the Eclipse( a sugar-free mint product by Wrigley's ) in Hong Kong only costed me around HKD 12.6 while in Singapore is around SGD 3.50!!!! The food in Hong Kong is absolutely must-try thingy! The tea, baked rice, polo bun, dim sum and so on!! (Further pictures in Facebook)

Recommendation: Actually, if we have enough budget, we can stay in a much more decent hotel or resort! So, it's good to have a good plan before going to a place. Luckily it's Hong Kong instead of Korea as I can understand and can communicate in Cantonese!

1. They wanted to introduce GST a few years back but somehow it didn't go through.

2. Everything in HK is delicious except their version of Kon Lou Mee served with Wantan. They call it Wantan Lou Meen. The worse Kon Lau Mian i've ever eaten in my whole life!!! Never again!!! It's like they just mix the noodles with Osyter Sauce and it certainly ain't cheap i tell you!
