Perhaps this building can explain it all: School of Art, Design and Media in Nanyang Technological University, which was awarded BCA Green Mark Platinum Award. The concept is environmental friendly and the special rooftop is planted with grass and that's why it was awarded such a prestigious award in Singapore!
Feature:
Grass rooftop to allow absorption of rainwater instead of flowing into the drainage system of the school.
Large atrium to capture the ventilation in the centre of the building, air is allowed to circulate in the centre of the building due to its curvature shape of the facade.
Low emissivity glass is used as the facade of the building. The glass is also used as the curtain wall of the building. Allowing more light to shine in, this can reduce the use of electricity for lighting.

Water also plays important part in the building. The element of cooling is situated in the centre of the building. Along with the ventilation, i.e. the circulation of the air, this will further reduce the temperature in the centre of the building.

南阳科技大么?设计上确实好赞~不过估计拨款建设钱上的猫腻也比较多~
